Wedding Preview
All the planning is now behind you. You’ve made the walk down the aisle, proclaimed your love, and exchanged glistening wedding bands. CONGRATULATIONS! You are now husband and wife. Now it’s time to kick back, unwind, forget all the stress, and celebrate the Day Of Your Reception.
WHAT TO EXPECT
WHO COORDINATES RECEPTION
The main reason wedding couples choose a DJ/MC is for the variety of music a DJ can play. Aside from the music, your DJ will also act as your MC to help maintain the proper flow during the reception. When you hire our DJ/MC remember to consult with N.Y.C. Sounds Prod. Inc. a few weeks before the wedding to discuss the desired music, also for the desired sequence of events, such as the cutting of the wedding cake, during the meal, the toast, the toss of the bouquet and garter. Prior to introducing you and your wedding party, it is important the DJ knows how to pronounce all names correctly and correct spelling of any challenging names.
THE RIGHT MUSIC MIX
Proper planning for your reception should
also include giving your DJ a guideline of the types of music that you want
him to play. There are spans of music across for all ages and tastes. Having
a DJ you trust to handle all the MC duties is important, where most DJs really
shine is when it comes to knowing that music will get the crowd on the dance
floor. As a general rule the guests will not
dance until the Bride and Groom have had their first dance. Then followed immediately
by a dance of the Bride and her Father and the Groom and his Mother. If other
special dances are in order, they would be done next. The DJ will then kick
off the dance portion for your guests right after the special dances.
Keep in mind that you want all guests
to be satisfied, so make sure your DJ is prepared with a wide variety of music
to suit all tastes. Just remember that your wedding days is a time to celebrate.
N.Y.C. sounds Prod. Inc. hopes that after reading the above you will call us and let us do all the work for you, your friends, and family with our greatest pleasure. |
